Velvety and Silky

Merlot provides body and roundness, Cabernet Sauvignon provides richness and structure (tannin), and Cabernet Franc brings finesse and suppleness.

Grape varieties

70% Merlot – 20% Cabernet Sauvignon – 10% Cabernet Franc

Harvest & Winemaking

Red wine is a macerated wineThat's why we're going to leave it in contact the pulp, the skin of the berries as well as the seeds. During alcoholic fermentation, we will carry out reassemblies in order to extract aromas and structure. This alcoholic fermentation lasts on average 15 days.

Breeding

50% blend aged in oak barrels for 12 months, the remaining 50% is made like the classic cuvée.

Consumption

Best enjoyed within 7 years. Serving temperature approximately 16°C. For younger vintages, 14-15°C.

Tasting

A lovely garnet robe with pinkish highlights, bright and clear. The nose is clean, with aromas of red fruits (blackcurrant, redcurrant) and toasty notes. The palate is full-bodied, supple and balanced, with silky tannins and fruity notes on the finish.

Food and wine pairings

Lamprey à la bordelaise, beef steak with pepper sauce, braised veal paupiettes, lamb navarin, hot roast pork, roast duck, chicken with tarragon, roast quail, meat ravioli.
