Tender and Sturdy

Bergerac wines benefit from a unique terroir with clay-limestone soils and flint. Merlot brings body and roundness, Cabernet Sauvignon richness and structure (tannins), and Cabernet Franc contributes finesse and suppleness.

Harvest & Winemaking

Red wine is a macerated wineThat's why we're going to leave it in contact the pulp, the skin of the berries as well as the seeds. During alcoholic fermentation, we will carry out reassemblies in order to extract aromas and structures.

This alcoholic fermentation lasts on average 15 days.

Consumption

Best enjoyed within 4-5 years.

Serving temperature approximately 16°C. For younger vintages, 14-15°C.

Tasting

A beautiful garnet color with deep, clear, pinkish highlights. The bouquet is intense and captivating, blending aromas of candied red and black fruits with spicy notes. The palate is full-bodied and round with velvety tannins that linger on the finish with hints of cherry pit.

Food and wine pairings

With red meats, game, Basque piperade, exotic dishes (paella, couscous), but also with cheese.
